Psalm 92: 1 – It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High.

Most of you (and I can guarantee all of my friends) know that I am not athletically inclined nor do I enjoy sharing the same space with any type of critter or creepy-crawly.  This mindset has kept me clean and injury-free for most of my life.  Marrying a man that is exactly opposite of this has been quite an adventure.  While Jase finds hunting, fishing, frogging, and lots of other outdoor activities exhiliarating, I have other things that bring me joy.

If you know me at all, you know how much I love to sing and make music.  I love to sit at the piano and pound out new harmonies.  And now that my kids are older, fewer things give me more enjoyment than having my teenage boys sit with me and sing, play the guitar, the ukulele and the piano and see what we can come up with.  Then when we get all of the music to come together and we sing about our Savior and praise him for what he’s done for us, I’m sure it gives our Father in heaven that same enjoyment.

I am so grateful that the Lord blessed my family with great musical talent.  Learning how to give God the praise and glory for that talent and trying my best to turn it into more for his Kingdom is both challenging and rewarding.

What talent did the Lord bless your life with?  How can you use it for Him?  Have you thanked him lately for giving that to you?  Take time now.

HAVE A BLESSED WEEK!

Lord, thank you for your gift of music.  Thank you for the simple pleasure of melody and harmony.  Thank you for the talents you have given my family and the enjoyment it brings to us.  We praise you for your mighty works and pray that we will always be able to sing to you and praise you through music.
